Abstract

The purpose of this bibliographic review. The method of the review was to consult the database of journals PubMed, Periodicals capes, ResearchGate, Jstor, BVS Saúde, from 2015 to 2020 with an advanced cross search between the first name in English and Portuguese “osteopathy and clinical hypnosis” with the variations of the words: infection, pneumonia and diseases of the respiratory system. Six studies focusing on hospitalized patients were found, of the 638 articles on osteopathy and 359 on clinical hypnosis that met the inclusion criteria of the literature review. Among the techniques found for the use of Osteopathy was the manipulative osteopathic treatment (BMT) in improving musculoskeletal pain, one of the common complaints among patients in the pandemic. For the use of clinical hypnosis, it was found the use of the treatment technique of eight sessions in a group of patients, as well as in individual sessions in patients with clinical supervision every six months.
