Keywords:
Figurative numbers, Geogebra, Teaching MathematicsAbstract
This work aims the teaching of mathematics with emphasis on figurative numbers, a class of numbers that can be expressed geometrically, such as squares, triangles and pentagons. In this sense, in line with the recommendations of the BNCC (Base Nacional Comum Curricular), here the recognition of figurative numbers is explored. In order to eliminate problems during the learning process, this work have been a software, Geogebra, which aims to provide permanent learning to students. From this perspective, a proposal for a didactic sequence is presented, consisting of three activities. The results reveal that the properties of figurative numbers can be addressed using Geogebra, a relevant methodology for teaching and learning mathematics.
