Abstract

The official documents, National Curriculum Parameters for the teaching of Mathematics and the Common National Curriculum Base, emphasize that a relevant aspect when working with games are the genuine challenges they cause in students, thus generating interest and pleasure. they are part of the school culture. The present article aimed to present a study about the ludic and games in the learning of the teaching of mathematics and to show the importance of them in the development of the students and in the process of teaching and learning of mathematics. This work is justified by the need to search for possibilities of working the ludic and games as instruments in mathematical learning, where it can make the students' comprehension easier. To this end, a literature review was carried out, based on book records and magazine articles. And from the following categories of analysis: Historical-cultural theory, games and learning, it was found that, it is necessary to reflect the importance of games in the classroom, seeking to understand the role they play in learning mathematics, because provides students with the development of thought.
