Abstract

Objectives: To analyze academic records that sought to relate auriculotherapy to the treatment of anxiety on an experimental basis. Methods: This is an integrative literature review of articles published from 2016 to 2021, carried out in the period from September 2021, in the Virtual Health Library (BVS) database that experimentally treated the use of auriculotherapy in anxiety disorders. After selecting the articles, each work was analyzed individually and its findings were described and discussed. Results: In all articles found and selected by the inclusion and exclusion criteria, auriculotherapy was considered a valid non-invasive practice to reduce anxiety in different circumstances. Conclusion: Based on the favorable results regarding the use of auriculotherapy in the treatment of anxiety in the cases presented, other types of studies can be developed along the same lines with the aim of expanding knowledge about the technique and disseminating its use.
