Use of Pajek Software and Detailed Application of Graph Theory in Mapping Relationships between Faculty Co-Authors of UFRB Extension Projects

The objective of this article is to present the result of an investigation, done through the analysis of social networks, in order to identify the most prominent teachers in the network of relations between coordinators or collaborators in the execution of extension activities related to Mathematics within the Federal University of the Recôncavo of Bahia. Based on the database provided by the Extension Dean of this university, using the Pajek software, and with the concepts of Social Network Theory, we will construct the graph of the aforementioned network, in order to identify the strategic contacts between teachers of the same campus or from different campuses, impelling strategies to improve the circulation of information related to extension activities developed throughout the university.
