Abstract

The purpose of this study was to analyse the clogging susceptibility of drippers operating with swine wastewater. The dripper models Naan-Tif, Naan Drip Paz 25 and Plastro Hydro PC were tested. Every 20 h of functioning as subunits of fertigation, flow rate (Q) and uniformity of water application were evaluated, by means of the coefficient of uniformity of distribution (CUD). In accordance with the obtained results, it can be concluded that the formation of biofilm resulting due to the interaction between bacteria colonies and total solids, produced blockage in the drippers, whose order of susceptibility to clogging was: Naan Tif > Naan Drip Paz 25 > Plastro Hydro PC.
