Resumo

Groundwater quality assessment is essential for the sustainable utilization of water resources for agricultural and domestic purposes.  The aim of this study was to determine and map the spatial variations of the chemical attributes of groundwater do municipally of Moreilândia-PE, for irrigation purposes. The work was carried out in the municipality of Moreilândia-PE, where 93 water samples were collected from semi-artesian wells and amazon wells. In these samples the electrical conductivity (EC), hydrogen potential (pH), Potassium (K+), Calcium (Ca2+), Magnesium (Mg2+), Sodium (Na+), Sodium adsorption ratio (SAR) and Hardness (GHF) were evaluated. The data were subjected to multivariate analysis, Pearson correlation, geostatistics and later confection of isoline maps through kriging. The geostatistical tool allowed the creation of unsampled areas that enable decision making for the possible drilling of semi-artesian and Amazon wells. It was verified that there are no signs of sodicity, however, there is a risk of salinization in the waters evaluated, being essential to use specific management of groundwater
