TEAM ASSIGNMENTS

  • The Managing Editor's duties are:
    • Coordinate the entire Editorial Team;
    • Manage the publishing system:
      • Configuring the content of the web page, organizing the layout of articles;
      • Registering other editors (Scientific Editors, Text Editors and Layout Editors), Authors and Reviewers.
    • Provide statistical data on access to the Magazine that the system can generate.
    • Analyze and direct submissions from authors of submitted articles;
    • Maintain the periodicity of the magazine.
      Approve the final version of each edition;
      Coordinate the flow of the magazine's editing, production and dissemination work;
    • Provide electronic ISSN code;
    • Provide Digital Object Identifier - DOI for articles.
    • Be responsible for the Qualis/Capes elevation processes and qualitative and quantitative development of the journal; and
    • Search indexers for the journal.
  • The Scientific Editors are responsible for:
    • Capture articles and publicize the magazine;
    • Issue an opinion on the publication of an article submitted to the journal;
    • Monitor the magazine's editing processes and the status of the submitted articles, aiming for speedy publication;
    • Assign two ad hoc evaluators to evaluate the articles;
    • Review, when necessary, publication standards.
  • The Evaluator is a researcher in a specific area of knowledge, registered in the journal's system, who is selected by a Scientific Editor to evaluate a submission.
    • Reviewers can be evaluated by Scientific Editors.
    • Reviews must be conducted objectively. The author's personal criticism is inappropriate.
    • Evaluators must clearly and objectively express their opinions with supporting arguments.
    • Any selected reviewer who feels unqualified to review the research reported in an article, or knows that rapid review will be impossible, must notify the Scientific Editor of their decline.
    • Information or ideas obtained through peer review must be kept confidential and not used for personal advantage.

The Assessors’ duties are:

    1. identify whether the works cited are mentioned in the references section.
    2. check whether observations or arguments derived from other publications are accompanied by the respective source;
    3. notify any substantial similarity or overlap between the article in question and any other published articles of which they are aware;
    4. refuse to review articles in which they have conflicts of interest.
