The interview presents a dialogue interested in the actions and experiences of youngsters from the Global South, intending reflections on the social supports to construct sharing and ways of 'being-together'. In this way, the conversation established with Enzo Colombo, professor at the Università degli Studi di Milano, seeks to bring into discussion the reality of young people from popular classes and immigrant families in Europe to contrast with the situation of youth in Brazil. The interviewee's research trajectory is initially used to identify recent historical inflections in youth actions, discussing ‘difference’ as a social trial and a motto for agency and, later, the experiences of the crisis in the 21st century. Thus, we arrived at the ongoing individualization processes, questioning the different configurations in the production of social ties and the place of school education in this sense, among other aspects that punctuated the talking. This was the itinerary followed in a still preambular consideration of the South-North crossings, concerning, in addition, the social construction of the common, from the actions of young people specifically, in different metropolitan contexts.
