Nietzsches critique of the science of history in the sphere of modern education and culture

This article discusses Frederich Nietzsche’s criticism of how the notion of History has been used, spoken of as if certain, in the homes of modern culture and education. The philosopher argues that in modern culture there is a disproportionate emphasis upon history, which constitutes an addiction to legitimizing pseudo-culturas. Education is, by way of it, the medium for the spreading of culture and, according to Nietzsche, modern education reproduces and legitimizes a kind of superficial or specialized knowledge, which runs contrary to life. This paper clarifies the Nietzschean concept of culture in order to understand the philosopher's notes regarding the relationship between history and education in modernity.
