Issues related to the Portuguese norm system
Abstract
This text seeks to offer a point of view on three issues related to the Portuguese language norm system, originally proposed by the scientific committee of the III International Congress of Language Teachers of Mercosur, held in Florianópolis, in 2016. Considering the importance of the initiative, the relevance of the theme and the lack of opportunity to prepare written material for publication during the event, it is considered to be a contribution to the area of Letters, especially for the understanding of the phenomenon of variation and linguistic standardization processes.
