About the Journal

The journal Boletim Científico Agronômico do CCAAB/UFRB (ISSN 2965-5447) is a scientific journal linked to the Center for Agricultural, Environmental and Biological Sciences (CCAAB) of the Federal University of Recôncavo da Bahia (UFRB), dedicated to the publication of works in the areas of Agricultural, Environmental and Biological Sciences.

The journal aims to disseminate the results of scientific research and extension activities, accepting submissions from authors affiliated with CCAAB/UFRB and from other teaching and research institutions. It adopts an open access policy (Open Access), making all its content freely available, without restrictions on access, reading or download, contributing to the democratization of scientific knowledge.

All published articles receive a DOI (Digital Object Identifier), assigned via Zenodo, and are trackable by academic search engines such as Google Scholar, increasing their visibility and impact.

The journal operates under a continuous publication model and publishes original articles, reviews, technical notes and extension works, including works derived from undergraduate final papers, dissertations, theses and research or extension projects, with or without funding. Manuscripts must be submitted in Portuguese.

Classification of manuscripts for submission:

Original Articles, Review Articles, Technical Review Articles and Technical Notes.

THERE IS NO CHARGE FOR SUBMISSION AND/OR PUBLICATION.

All scientific contributions submitted for publication will be evaluated by the Editor-in-Chief, members of the Editorial Board and reviewers from the Scientific Committee or invited external reviewers, reserving the Boletim the right to reject any article considered insufficient or not in accordance with the principles and standards of the journal. After acceptance of the work, the publication rights become the property of the Boletim Científico Agronômico do CCAAB/UFRB, including translations, figures and others.

At the time of submission, a cover letter will be required, which must briefly explain the relevance of the work and also include a statement that the work has not been published or submitted to another journal (Check the Submission Guidelines).

The Journal accepts submissions in Portuguese of:

1) Original Articles: report original scientific results that have not yet been published in another journal. The document must not exceed 20 pages.

2) Review Articles: address a bibliographic review or state of the art of a topic of common interest related to the scope of the Journal. The document must not exceed 25 pages.

3) Technical Review Articles: aim to synthesize and present detailed and relevant technical information on a specific topic in an area of interest related to the scope of the Journal. The document must not exceed 25 pages.

3) Technical Note: brief communication whose immediate publication is justified, as it is an unpublished fact of importance, but with insufficient volume to constitute a complete scientific article. It may be developed in the format of an original article and written in technical language, presenting, in detail, information and recommendations of a practical nature, duly validated and resulting from R&D activities, or validated research results, or an article prepared by a specialized technician in a given subject, containing theoretical foundation and/or analysis of the specific context of the chosen theme. The document must not exceed 15 pages.
