Vol. 1 No. 1 (2020): Release edition
December 15, 2020
In a world brought to a near-standstill by a pandemic unprecedented in this century—and by an even worse outbreak of political ignorance within the country—the creation of a vehicle for the promotion and dissemination of science offers a breath of hope during these turbulent and dark times.
The *Revista Eletrônica de Ciências Exatas e Tecnológicas* (RECET)—published by the Center for Exact and Technological Sciences at the Federal University of Recôncavo da Bahia—aims to be a semiannual journal that publishes the results of studies and research regarding science, technology, and innovation activities.
As such, the journal pursues ambitious goals, seeking to promote the production, organization, dissemination, and utilization of information and knowledge across a vast field of study. This field encompasses Physics, Mathematics, Statistics, Chemistry and Biochemistry, Civil Engineering, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Sanitary and Environmental Engineering, Engineering Education, and Exact Sciences Education.
It is my hope that RECET enjoys a long life and fulfills its role as a beacon—encouraging the submission of high-quality articles, complementing the specialized education of its readers, and fostering the dissemination of science as humanity's only hope for salvation.
