About the Journal
The Journal of Infectious Diseases and One Health (JIDOH) was established with the aim of providing the Brazilian scientific community with a platform for the publication and broad dissemination of research in the fields of infectious diseases and One Health. The articles and communications published by JIDOH are relevant across various aspects of microbiology, epidemiology, infectious diseases, pathology, clinical and laboratory diagnosis, control measures, prophylaxis, prevention, treatment, and immune response to infectious agents, emphasizing their impact on human, animal, and environmental health. The journal follows a bimonthly publication schedule and welcomes original articles in the following categories: clinical investigations, case presentations and discussions, brief reports on new methods and findings, recent reviews, letters to the editor regarding previously published papers, and commentaries – including theoretical perspectives and scholarly opinions.
JIDOH upholds rigorous standards to ensure the originality and exclusivity of its publications, guaranteeing that all manuscripts meet high scientific quality and relevance criteria. PEER REVIEW PROCESS
All manuscripts submitted to JIDOH undergo peer review to ensure impartiality, technical rigor, and scientific relevance. The journal employs a double-blind review system, with an optional open review process in accordance with international open science principles. Final editorial decisions are made by the Editor-in-Chief based on the reviewers’ recommendations.

JIDOH provides immediate and unrestricted open access to its content under the Creative Commons Attribution (CC BY) license, allowing wide dissemination, reuse, and adaptation of published scientific knowledge, provided appropriate credit is given to the authors and the journal.
