Listening and the tuning fork subject in Jean-Luc Nancy

The intention of this article is to show how our relating as bodies “between” leads Jean-Luc Nancy to the definition of singularities as “tuning-subjects.” It is an analysis of listening in contrast to the vision of video-centered thought. Sound, as it resonates, shakes the distinction between the classical outside/inside of metaphysics and opens up an ethical polyphony of voices that call out to one another. Here, we will make Jean-Luc Nancy interact with the thought on voice of the Italian feminist and thinker Adriana Caverero.
