Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.

Author Guidelines

The Griot: Revista de Filosofia accepts only articles, reviews and original and unpublished translations in the philosophy of doctoral candidates and doctors (in the Portuguese, English, French and Spanish languages) that have not been sent or submitted simultaneously to other periodicals for analysis and publication. The review and content of the articles, as well as the reviews and translations submitted to this journal are the sole responsibility of their authors.
All authors submitting their texts to the Griot: Revista de Filosofia, must agree to the author's copy of the journal, acknowledge and disclose to publishers any conflict of interest related to their research and indicate the funding source whenever the research is funded; in the texts with more than one author, it is necessary to define the effective contribution of each one in the work, that is, it should be indicated the collaboration of each author in the text submitted to the Journal.
All texts received will be subject to prior evaluation by the editors. Texts that do not conform to the scope of the journal and in accordance with the guidelines for authors will be returned to suitability or rejected by the editors.
The texts approved by the editors will be submitted to "double blind" peer evaluation. In order to ensure the "blind evaluation" the authors must remove from the texts / files all the authorial identification.
 
1.About general formatting of texts
-Word, Times New Roman source (12);
- Line spacing of 1.5;
-Formato A4;
-Mars 2,5cm.
-Paragraphs 1,25cm.
 
 Articles.
In addition to being in accordance with the guidelines described in topic 1, articles should also contain:
-12 to 30 pages (including references);
- Title (CAPITAL LETTERS): Concise and Informative;
-Abstract: minimum of 150 words, maximum of 250 words. They should precede the text and reflect the fundamental aspects of the article;
-Keywords: minimum three (03) and maximum six (06), separated by semicolons and presented after the abstract;
-References cited in the text should follow the format (Author, date, page) according to ABNT;
-Quotes with up to 3 lines must be inside the text in double quotation marks;
- Quotations with more than 3 lines should be with indentation of 4 cm of the left margin in font size 10, single spacing;
- Footnotes should be only explanatory complementing the subject matter.
-Complete references should be presented at the end of the text in "References", with simple spacing, in alphabetical order, as follows:

Reviews
-3 to 10 pages;
- National books in philosophy with up to one year of publication;
-International books on philosophy with up to four years of publication.
 
Translations
- They must come accompanied by their originals and authorization of the author and / or publisher.

Articles

The most traditional format of a scientific journal is the article. Only unpublished articles (in accordance with the Guidelines for Authors) of 12 to 30 pages (including abstract, abstracts, keywords, keywords, notes and bibliographic references), results of studies and research related to the area should be sent to this section of coverage of the journal, namely philosophy, and which were not and are not being submitted to other journals.

Reviews

The main feature of the review is a text whose purpose is to critically appraise a publication. In this section, we publish unpublished reviews of relevant works in the area of philosophy. The texts must have between 3 and 10 pages on contents of national works with up to 1 year of publication and international works with up to 4 years of publication.

Translations

Section dedicated to the publication of unpublished translations of texts relevant to studies and research in the field of philosophy. The texts sent to this section must be accompanied by their originals and the authorization of the author and / or the publisher / journal
