About the Journal

The Boletim Científico Agronômico do CCAAB/UFRB, electronic ISSN 2965-5447, is an open-access scientific journal affiliated with the Center for Agricultural, Environmental and Biological Sciences (CCAAB) of the Federal University of Recôncavo da Bahia (UFRB), Brazil.

Founded in 2023, the journal aims to disseminate scientific and technical knowledge, as well as results from research and extension activities in the fields of Agricultural, Environmental and Biological Sciences.

The journal welcomes contributions from authors affiliated with UFRB and other national and international institutions. Manuscripts must be submitted in Portuguese under one of the following categories:

  • Original article: presents unpublished results of scientific research.

  • Review article: provides a critical analysis of the literature or the state of the art on a topic relevant to the journal’s scope.

  • Technical review article: brings together and analyzes technical information on a topic related to the journal’s areas of coverage.

  • Technical note: concisely presents substantiated results, procedures or technical information relevant to the field.

Contributions related to extension activities are accepted provided that they fit one of these categories and comply with the journal’s submission guidelines. The structure, length and other requirements for each category are described in the Author Guidelines.

Publication frequency and peer review

The journal follows a continuous publication model, organized in annual volumes.

Manuscripts undergo an initial editorial assessment. Those considered suitable at this stage are sent for double-anonymous peer review, in accordance with the journal’s policies.

Open access and fees

The journal provides immediate and free open access to its content. No submission or publication fees are charged.

Copyright and licensing

Authors retain the copyright to their work and grant the journal the right of first publication. Articles are published under the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International License — CC BY 4.0, which permits sharing and adaptation of the content, including for commercial purposes, provided that appropriate credit is given to the authors and the original publication and that the other terms of the license are observed.

Digital Object Identifier — DOI

The journal’s articles may have a Digital Object Identifier — DOI, displayed on the article’s webpage and/or in the publication file, when available. Previously assigned identifiers are retained, where applicable.

Institutional support

The Boletim Científico Agronômico do CCAAB/UFRB receives institutional support from the Federal University of Recôncavo da Bahia (UFRB).
